Introduction
Welcome to the Homestuck Shipping World Cup (HSWC), a summer-long shipping competition for the Homestuck fandom! Fans form teams around their favorite ships and compete in challenges based around prompts to show off just how awesome their ship is. Everything from fanfiction, fanart, fanmixes, games, even recipes and knitting projects are welcome, so long as it fits the challenge and is created new for the HSWC. Through fanworks, participants gain points for their teams, and teams are ranked based on how many points they accumulate.
There are two main rounds (MR), one collab round, and several bonus rounds (br) that take place over the course of the event. All teams are encouraged to participate in all rounds, and all rounds are point-earning.
After the main and collab round(s) are over, HSWC participants then vote for their favorite entries. The more votes a MR or collab entry receives, the more points it is awarded. But in the HSWC, everyone ships everything and the points don't really matter! The focus of the event is the celebration of shipping and the creation of new fanworks; the points are just an incentive system.
